Hillary Clinton Explains Her Controversial Statement About Female Voters

Ami Ciccone Jan 06, 2019

The presidential opponent to Trump in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, just faced some criticisms and was compelled to write a long letter of explanation on some of her latest statements which have caught the attention of the Democrats and Republicans in unpleasant ways. Her statements contained some implicating words such as, women who are white most times cast their votes like their spouses.

When she also paid a visit to Asia, in India to be precise, she elaborately demonstrated the way her supporters were meant to emerge from richer and more influential communities than those who supported Trump.

It would be recalled that she made a similarly derogatory comment to Trump in 2016 when the political campaigns were ongoing. She said at that time that her opponent’s voters were wretched beings.

Over the weekend, however, she went to her Facebook page and tried to post an explanatory article to clear the air. She expressed her regret at these demeaning sentences and how they have annoyed many people who misunderstood the true meaning behind them. She assured the people that she didn’t have any intentions to degrade any group or person.

She added that she also wishes to hope on the coming eras just everyone else does. Earlier on, she had been condemned by the White House for her words.

Speaking on behalf of the president, Trump’s spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, had released the view of the presidency in the past week. She described Clinton as someone who has totally distanced herself from the US people and it obviously demonstrated the level of her disgust for those loyal electorates in their millions in American who trooped out to cast their votes in solidarity for the elected leader, Donald Trump, whom they’ve never stopped supporting till date.

In addition to the White House’ comments, certain members of the Democrat Party have also shown their displeasure at her utterances which could dent their party’s image in the eyes of Trump’s fans. They were worried because this is the time they have planned to strategize on how to steal the hearts of Trump fans as the elections scheduled for the middle of November draw close.

Clinton was ahead of Trump in the US popular votes when she garnered 2.86 million votes in December 2016.

Clinton expressed her support for gender equality and good governance

The most attention-grabbing part of her words was where she uttered that Democrat Party worked hard to get members among married women who are whites because there is a kind of pressing demand which requires that votes must be cast exactly the same way their spouses, their sons, workplace bosses and whoever thinks is the most appropriate way to vote.

She said in her post that some people have questioned her on if president Trump has a deadly ‘virus or perhaps, could his victory at the polls be a sign of certain deep-rooted quagmire in America? She quoted her reply which says it was just a segment of her effort to evaluate the outcome of the election.

According to her Facebook post, people living in foreign countries are perturbed and sad about the current happenings in the country on daily basis, just like many US citizens are also feeling. Her initial thought was pointed at how she so much wanted to fight for the people and then she expounded on how the successful elections in favor of Trump could have looked like.

So in other words, Clinton meant to say that those who are financially buoyant have more tendency to support the Democrat and on the other hand, the supporters for Republican mostly are the people with lower level of faith when looking to the future.

She continued by saying that this depiction doesn’t necessarily translate to the coast region against heartland region, nor does it mean that some states are set apart. As a matter of fact, the picture exposes the disunity between better urban communities that are coming on strong, and small settlements occupied by the population of less wealthy people among states.

Some surveys have been carried and the results showed that the heart of women are softer, which can make it easier for men to dictate for them more than how they can decide for their men, says Clinton.

She found it somewhat difficult to admit the likeliness and even disliked voicing it out, but to her, the current fight against gender inequality is not as intense as it should be, and the situations are not different even among families living under the same roof.
