For years now, stand-up comedian Bill Cosby has been accused on assaulting and harassing women and children for years. The allegations has been publicized for years but whenever Cosby gets asked back in 2014, he would say that he does not talk about it. 81-year-old comedian sentenced to prison up to 10 years

Cosby To Spend 3 to 10 Years In Prison

It was on September 25 when Cosby was sentenced to three to ten years of prison in a state prison in Pennsylvania after being accused of assault and harassment of Andrea Constand in 2004. According to Judge Steven O’Neill, the evidence was that the comedian planned the debugging as well as the assault. During the time of his sentence, there was no one with him besides his attorneys. When asked for an appeal to bail, the judge simply denied so he was taken away in handcuffs right away, stating that he might actually be a danger to the people.

The 81-year-do actor did not say anything when he was given a chance to before his sentence. Constand was seen smiling and being hugged by people when the sentence was said. According to some of the other legal representatives of the accusers, it has indeed gone a long journey and that judgment day finally came and it favored them, just like the way it should. Some of the accusers even said that they have prayed for this moment to come and at one point they never thought this day would come, but it did eventually.

Cosby on his way to the trial with his spokesman

Cosby has always denied taking advantage of any woman he has been with, he claims that he always had consent every single time. Then again, in both the trials he had been in, Judge O’Neill rejected his defense motions. The first on was when his wife of more than 50 years working with his alleged victims, and the other time was actually last when his legal team contended in a motion.

That is because of the alleged political reasons why he was rejecting the motions, and that is because of the rivalry between him and Bruce Castor, who is a former country district attorney. This then led to Cosby’s legal team to file a complaint regarding the judge’s decisions and actions. They complained at the legal ethics board since it could serve as a legal strategy after Cosby’s wife questioned his integrity and his work ethic.

First Day In Prison

Cosby will spend most of his time alone since he shares his cell with no one. It is not a special cell, it is actually exactly the same as the others, it just so happens that they’re all vacant. The comedian had his breakfast, lunch, and, dinner all by himself. He is usually with guards but when he walks the yard, he was by himself. Then again, four times on his first day, a guard would count the prisoners, but since he’s the only one there, it’s like they are just checking up on him.

It wasn’t exactly meant for him to be by himself, it may take a week or two for him to have a fellow prisoner. It just so happens that he was assigned to a new prison that no ones in it besides himself. Then again, they basically put him there until they actually know what to do with one of the most famous offenders in the country.

According to the press secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, Amy Worden, it’s like Cosby has his own space as if he is actually a high-profile inmate. However, it was revealed by John Wetzel, who is the state corrections secretary, that it was actually a long-term goal, and they can’t just put him in a prison with thousands of inmates actually live.

Meanwhile, another famous felon, O.J. Simpson believes that the authorities would need to put Cosby in a protective custody. In an interview with TMZ, he said that rapists like Cosby are normally frowned upon in prison. Simpson on the other hand, was convicted with robbery despite the murder allegations, he was released last year.
