If you have a couple of millions to spare for a real estate property in Los Feliz, then you might be interested in Jason Segel’s new listing.
The How I Met Your Mother star has decided to let go of his Mediterranean-style Villa in the hillside neighborhood in California. He recently put it up on the market for $2.75 million, a slight increase from the $2.25 million he paid for the house in 2016.
Formerly owned by contemporary artist Shepard Fairey, the 2,523 square-foot hillside property is a mix of historical details and bits of art from Fairey. Constructed in the 1920s, the 3-story home still has much of its original architectural detailing, such as the exposed wood-beamed ceilings and colorful tile accents.
Behind the front door is an entrance hall built with high ceilings and floors decked with terra cotta tiles. A few steps down the hall is a huge floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace, three large arched windows, and built-in shelves.
The dining room is decorated with intricate floral designs plus a pressed tin ceiling. There is also access to a narrow balcony. Denim blue cabinets and orangeish wood beams on the ceiling give a splash of color to the kitchen. Meanwhile, contrasting the bright tints is the black subway tile backsplash.
A touch that Fairey added while he was still the home’s owner is the hand-painted mural over at the breakfast nook.
The home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The master suite on the top floor is equipped with ample space to wind down plus a sitting room for comfortable lounging. It also has a luxe master bathroom equipped with a deep-soaking tub and a separate glass-enclosed steam shower.
Two guest bedrooms plus a shared bathroom are located on the ground floor. The fourth bedroom, meanwhile, is located on the lowest level and has an en suite bathroom and separate entrance.
There are more spaces to entertain over at the back of the house. Towering trees offer shade to several terraces. One has an outdoor kitchen with a dining banquette, while another one has a grill station and is decorated with potted plants.
Aside from this property, the 40-year-old American actor and comedian also has another home in the Los Angeles area.
He currently lives in a 2-story Pasadena abode that has been standing for around a hundred years. Segel bought the 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom property for $4.255 million around three years after purchasing his Los Feliz home.
