Adam Levine is Trying His Hand at House Flipping – Peek Inside His Latest Sell

Adam Levine has done many things in the span of his career. He’s fronted Maroon 5 for almost 20 years, explored his acting talents with Begin Again and coached other singers on The Voice.

But these days, the 40-year-old father of two is trying his hand at a rather surprising venture– house flipping.

Couple Remodeling

Part of Levine and Prinsloo’s renovation plan was to have the place repainted.

Together with Victoria’s Secret model wife, Behati Prinsloo, Levine just listed a recently-renovated Beverly Hills mansion for a whopping $47.5 million. According to TMZ, the couple first bought the property for $35.5 million from Max Mutchnick, creator of the show Will and Grace.

The home was initially built back in 1933 and has a particular neo-Tudor architecture style. Its surrounding land was especially landscaped to utilize the reportedly ancient trees that were already on the property. According to sources, its previous tenant has since expanded and ‘brightened’ the home during his stay there.

The 10,000-square-foot home comes with five bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The couple reportedly spent an extra $7 million to renovate it. Considering this and the home’s original price, the celebrity couple is looking at a $13 million profit if they sell it for their asking price.

While Levine hasn’t explicitly stated it, they are essentially flipping the home which they only lived in for a few months. The business of house flipping isn’t really an uncommon way for celebrities like the couple to expand their net worth.

For example, A-listers like Meryl Streep, Ellen DeGeneres, and Diane Keaton have been playing the real estate game for years now, and with great success. Keaton has even developed a reputation for buying and selling historic homes.

Celebrity Home

Some of the most covetable features of the home include the huge 50-foot living room, two house kitchens and an in-ground guest house separate from the main structure.

It’s also touted as the perfect celebrity home due to its entertainment amenities like a home gym, a tennis court, a swimming pool and, of course, a screening room.

Its history of celebrity owners can be seen from the left-behind art pieces and other personal belongings from its famous owners. One of the home’s previous residents is retired tennis star Pete Sampras.

Real Estate Moves

This selling move on the couple’s part comes at the heels of other recent real estate transactions.

Just two years ago, the musician and model bought an $18 million Holmby Hills home and then flipped it immediately after only six months. Not long after, Levine sold his former bachelor pad in Benedict Canyon to singer John Mayer.

There’s also their purchase of ex-couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s $35.5 million mansion in late 2018. Some news outlets speculate that it is because of this new place that caused Levine and Prinsloo to let go of their Beverly Hills home to finally settle in one home.
